Alice Henderson, one of the pioneer missionaries of the PCANZ to India,first worked in Madras in 1986 and then in Jagadhri, a district in the then Punjab Province from 1910 to 1931. She pioneered education for girls in Jagadhri for over fifty years with the name, �The Christian Middle School' .
In 1966 it became a co-educational English medium school and was named St. Thomas School headed by Revd. Doreen Riddell imparting values along with the academics. From first of April, 1993 it was upgraded t6o class twelve with ISC board. During Revd. Riddell's tenure first and second floors were added in order to accommodate increasing number of students. Revd. Riddell retired from active duties as Principal on 25th of july,1993.The school got minority certification in the year 2013.The school is now managed and run by the Diocese of Delhi, Church of North India.
